Support Antony’s University Education
Antony is one of the Hope Runs scholarship students studying in Kenya for his university degree. Read about him, and how you can support him, below.
I met Antony in 2009 while volunteering at an orphanage in
Kenya through Hope Runs. He was a senior in high school,
bright, quiet, unassuming. I was serving as a mentor for Hope
Run’s afterschool running program and teaching a
composition class. Antony was one of my best students, one
of the few who would ask questions and turn in extra
assignments for correction and feedback. He was a pretty
good runner, too. When I heard that after graduating
top of his class and leaving the home, he was living with his
aunt and struggling to find work, I committed to raising
$21,000 to put Antony through college as part of Hope Run’s
scholarship program. Antony started Kenya Methodist
University in May 2011, and he’s pursing a degree in
business and information technology. His continued
enrollment depends on the generous support of people like
you. Your donation will have a direct, significant, and lasting
impact on the life a rural Kenyan boy and his family.
Please join me in giving Antony a chance
at a better future.
